Mushroom Fairy Circle and A Very Hungry Catepillar

Found these in my side yard this morning and my garden is full of caterpillars !

    Wow...guess I'll have to start looking for a fairy circle in MY yard :) Thanks for the reminder that it's time to take my youngest to look for Monarch caterpillars...he always raises them to adulthood and then sets them free.

    after our kitty died we buried him in the back woods in a little glen... the following year a fairy ring appeared right around his grave. It was very special to us to find. That was when I taught my then very young daughter about them and it made her quite happy to think the fairy folk were looking after our departed friend
